POSTPONED - Virtual E-Safety Workshop

Tuesday 11th May - 6-7 pm

I am sure you will be aware of how much your children rely on modern communication technology such as the Internet, smartphones and social networking as part of their daily lives,.

Technology moves very fast and it is difficult to keep up with what your children are using or to even understand it.  Children love playing games on the Internet, but do you know who they are playing those games with? What are they watching on You Tube? What are they posting online?

Do you have the knowledge and understanding to keep up with your son/daughter’s internet activity?

Can you give them advice on keeping themselves safe on-line?

Can you set parental controls on a variety of devices?

If the answer to any one of these questions is “NO”, then we would like to offer parents the opportunity to attend a virtual information evening on Tuesday May 11th at 6 pm to learn about what children are currently doing online and how to ensure that you are protecting your children from online risks and dangers.

Leading the presentation will be Steve Welding, Sutton Borough Education E Safety Advisor.   The presentation will last approximately one hour and will include a short film and information on informative websites explaining how to set parental controls on various devices and game consoles.  Please note this event is for adults only.

The event will be run as a virtual workshop through Zoom.

The link will be emailed to parents.  We hope you will be able to join this very important workshop.
