IT and Creative Media Teacher/Subject Lead

Outer London pay scale - £29k - £45k (Main/Upper Pay Range)

Potential for TLR/Subject Lead responsibilities for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate.

We are looking for an inspiring teacher with a good understanding of IT and Creative Media to join our department at Oaks Park High School. 

Our aim in the IT/Creative Media department is to support our students in becoming more fluent and knowledgeable about the sectors of Creative Media. We value the importance of our students being confident in researching and creating solutions for businesses based on potential scenarios. Our curriculum provides students with opportunities to explain the audiences and purposes of media products, experiment and find out about the ways that they can create a product, create a product and evaluate it. 

Our students follow the BTEC Tech Award in Creative Digital Media and in Key Stage 5 our students follow the L3 BTEC and they work through 4 Units to gain their qualification.

You will be required to:

  • Inspire and support our students across the three Key Stages
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to provide targeted and directed feedback
  • Be inspired by reading and researching new pedagogy on learning and teaching
  • Be creative and reflective in the planning of lessons and schemes of works
  • Have the skills to form excellent working relationships with all individuals.

Our school is situated in Carshalton, 30 minutes from London Victoria by train and a short distance from Sutton, Merton, Croydon and Kingston. The successful candidate will be provided with a laptop.
