OPH Reverse Advent Calendar Appeal

As you are aware, this year has been a struggle for many, with the forthcoming festive season putting even greater pressure on families. With this in mind, we are asking our students and parents/carers to take part in a ‘reverse advent calendar’ appeal to help create food hampers for families in need over the holiday period.

The concept of a reverse advent calendar is that something is ‘given’ each day; in this case an item of food, personal care product or a festive treat in order to make up a hamper.  As the term ends on December 18th, we are suggesting that over the course of the next two weeks, one item a day is added to the hamper, and then it is brought to school from Tuesday 14th December to be delivered to families at the end of that week.

The items in the box need to be non-perishable and could include tinned food, toiletries, household items, drinks (non-alcoholic), breakfast items and treats.

If you would like to support this appeal, please can we ask that the box is wrapped in Christmas paper and delivered to the drop off area in our car park in Monkey Puzzle Way on Tuesday or Wednesday 14/15 December, so that we can quarantine the boxes before they are distributed to families.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Student Reception at studentreception@oaksparkhigh.org.uk.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
