Please note that for this week only, all Year 7 students will be dismissed at 3.05 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, (but at the usual time of 2.25 pm on Thursday).   

We have taken this decision so that senior staff can supervise our younger students who cross Stanley Park Road and wait at the bus stop to ensure they are using public transport safely and sensibly, and to give any guidance needed.  This is because we have received messages from concerned members of the public regarding some of our new students who are not crossing roads safely and using public transport thoughtfully.   

We have spoken to all year 7 students at an assembly this morning regarding road safety and we would be very grateful if you could reiterate the need for students to use the pedestrian crossings; not try and cross through traffic or parked cars, and not to use mobile phones when crossing roads.   For some students it is the first time they have travelled to school independently, therefore do please remind your children of the importance of ensuring their own safety and also to consider others who are travelling on the roads and buses.   

Students waiting for an older sibling may wait at the school until 3.15 pm.
