Consultation on Proposed Change to the Admissions Policy

For children admitted to Year 7 (mainstream) from September 2022 onwards.

In accordance with the School Admission Code, Oaks Park High School is consulting on the proposed admissions arrangements for children to be admitted to Year 7 (mainstream) starting with the September 2022 entry.

The proposed changes are shown in the draft admissions policy and apply to criteria in Section 2 (iii)

Children of staff employed on permanent contract by Cheam Academies Network, provided:

  • The member of staff has been employed by Cheam Academies Network for two or more consecutive years at the date of application, or
  • The member of staff employed has been recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

Other criteria would remain the same.

What has changed?

Previously, this admissions category applied to staff employed at Oaks Park High School. This change is to recognise that Cheam Academies Network is now the employer and to clarify that this criteria refers to all staff working for the Trust.

How long is this consultation?

This consultation will run for six weeks from Monday 9th November 2020.

When does the consultation end?

The consultation period ends on Tuesday 22nd December 2020.
